| Jim Steadward |
 James Jackson Steadward was born on Tuesday, 14th January, 1919, in Glasgow. The 5' 9 (11st 5lbs) goalkeeper signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Monday, 21st May, 1945, having most recently been with Queen's Park. Aged 26, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 26th May, 1945, in a 4-4 draw at home to Dumbarton in the Summer Cup. Jim kept his first clean-sheet on Saturday, 9th June, 1945, in a 3-0 win at home to Heart of Midlothian in the Summer Cup. He registered the last of his 16 clean-sheets on Saturday, 4th January, 1947, in a 4-0 win at home to Aberdeen in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Wednesday, 23rd April, 1947, in a 4-1 win away to Clyde in the Glasgow Charity Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 79 occasions. Jim's club-list included Dennistoun Parish Church, Third Lanark, Queen's Park, Dennistoun Waverley, Newarthill Hearts, Partick Thistle, Dundee, Hamilton Academical, Stirling Albion, East Fife and Dunfermline Athletic. Jim died in 1994, in Glasgow, aged 75. *
