| Jim Fleming |
 James Paterson Fleming was born on Wednesday, 7th January, 1942, in Alloa, Clackmannanshire. The 5' 9 (11st 4lbs) forward signed for David Meiklejohn's Thistle in August, 1958, having most recently been with Sauchie Juveniles. Aged 16, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 27th August, 1958, in a 3-0 defeat away to Queen of the South in the League Cup. Jim scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 24th January, 1959, in a 4-3 win away to Aberdeen in the SFL First Division. He scored the last of his 32 goals on Saturday, 7th November, 1964, in a 3-0 win away to Morton in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Friday, 1st January, 1965, in a 4-1 defeat away to Clyde in the SFL First Division, having clocked up 140 appearances as a Jag. His club-list included Sauchie Juveniles, Partick Thistle, Luton Town, Dunfermline Athletic, Heart of Midlothian, Wigan Athletic, Ross County and Clachnacuddin. Jim died on Thursday, 10th December, 2020, aged 78. |
