The 6' 3 (12st 7lbs) defender signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Wednesday, 31st May, 2000, having most recently been with Stranraer. Aged 22, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 22nd July, 2000, in a 0-0 friendly draw away to Derry City. Jamie scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 24th February, 2001, in a 3-0 win at home to Stranraer in the SFL Second Division.
