James Miller |
James Miller was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward joined Thistle in August, 1884. He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 23rd August, 1884, in a 4-2 friendly win at home to Morton. James scored his first known goal for Thistle on Saturday, 6th September, 1884, in a 4-1 friendly defeat away to St Mirren. He scored the last of his 21 known goals on Saturday, 12th November, 1892, in a 1-1 draw at home to Celtic in the Glasgow Cup. That turned out to be his last known game for the club, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 73 occasions. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when James died. *
