![]() James McLeod was born on Sunday, 26th November, 1905, in Glasgow. The 5' 6½ (10st 7lbs) forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Thursday, 2nd June, 1927, having most recently been with Petershill. Aged 22, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 18th August, 1928, in a 4-2 win at home to Dundee in the SFL First Division. That day, James became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 3 goals on Saturday, 10th November, 1928, in an 8-4 defeat at home to Ayr United in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 6th April, 1929, in a 3-0 defeat away to St Mirren in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 9 occasions. His club-list included Petershill, Partick Thistle, Carlisle United and Raith Rovers. We don't know where or when James died. *
