This right-winger, a resident of Helensburgh, had a sojourn in England and Wales in the early 1920s before landing back in Scotland with Ashfield, from where he was picked up by Thistle for an 8 month spell in the springtime of 1922. At the end of that year he moved on to Raith Rovers, then later to Hamilton Accies just 4 months later, with a spell back at Helensburgh in-between. His varied and busy club-list suggests restless legs and a thirst for adventure, although perhaps his other life as a businessman - in the wholesale drapery line - had influence over his decisions here and there. |
