| James Mackinnon |
James Mackinnon was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The 5' 11 (12st 7lbs) defender signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Thursday, 6th April, 1939, having most recently been with Partick Glenavon Juveniles. He made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 3rd May, 1939, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Queen's Park in the Glasgow Charity Cup. There were no goals for James during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 25th May, 1940, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Rangers in the Regional League, Western Division, having appeared as a Jag on 6 occasions. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when James died. *
