![]() James Green was born on Wednesday, 20th June, 1900, in Preston, Lancashire. The forward appeared as a guest for George Easton's Thistle in May, 1921, having most recently been with Preston North End. Aged 20, he made his only appearance on Saturday, 7th May, 1921, in a 2-0 defeat away to Celtic in the Glasgow Charity Cup. There were no goals for James in his one-off appearance for Thistle. His club-list included Preston North End, Partick Thistle, Exeter City and Bideford Town. James died in 1979, aged 78 or 79. *
