James Fyfe was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The midfielder signed for George Easton's Thistle on Thursday, 17th August, 1922, having most recently been with Dunfermline Athletic.

He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 2nd September, 1922, in a 3-1 defeat away to Rangers in the Glasgow Cup.

There were no goals for James during his spell with Thistle.

He played his second and last game for the club on Tuesday, 21st August, 1923, in a 1-0 friendly win at home to Nithsdale Wanderers.

His club-list included St Anthony's, Dunfermline Athletic, Partick Thistle, Alloa Athletic, Armadale, Clydebank FC, Arthurlie and Bo'ness.
