 Ian Reid was born on Monday, 11th December, 1950, and is most likely to be Scottish. * The defender signed for Scot Symon's Thistle circa Saturday, 25th January, 1969, having most recently been with Bonkle Youth Club. Aged 18, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 20th August, 1969, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Dundee in the League Cup. There were no goals for Ian during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Monday, 6th August, 1973, in a 2-1 friendly win away to Stenhousemuir, having clocked up 108 appearances as a Jag. Ian's club-list included Partick Thistle, St Mirren, Carluke Rovers and Larkhall Thistle.
