 Ian Richard Donald was born on Wednesday, 28th November, 1951, in Aberdeen. The 5' 10 (11st 10lbs) defender signed for Davie McParland's Thistle in January, 1973, having most recently been with Manchester United. Aged 21, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 3rd March, 1973, in a 1-1 draw at home to East Fife in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for Ian in during his spell with Thistle. He played his second and final game for the club on Wednesday, 21st March, 1973, in a 3-0 defeat at home to Dundee United in the SFL First Division. Ian's club-list included Manchester United, Partick Thistle and Arbroath. |
