Hreinn Hringsson was born on Thursday, 20th June, 1974, in Grýtubakkahreppur.

The forward signed for Murdo MacLeod's Thistle on Thursday, 13th March, 1997, having most recently been with Þór Akureyri.

Aged 22, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 15th March, 1997, in a 4-1 defeat away to Clydebank in the SFL First Division.

There were no goals for Hreinn during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 12th April, 1997, in a 4-0 defeat at home to St Johnstone in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 3 occasions.

Hreinn's club-list included Magni Grenivík, Þór Akureyri, St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Dumbarton, Þróttur Reykjavík and Akureyri.

Bio Extra

Arrived at Firhill in March 1997 from Icelandic side Thor amid a blaze of publicity, the striker describing how he would celebrate all his goals for his new club. Typically proceeded to make no impact at Firhill and was given a free transfer at the end of that season.
