Gregg Alexander Hood was born on Wednesday, 29th May, 1974, in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.

The 6' 0 (12st 7lbs) defender signed for Tommy Bryce's Thistle on Friday, 29th January, 1999, having most recently been with Ayr United.

Aged 24, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 20th February, 1999, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Queen of the South in the SFL Second Division.

There were no goals for Gregg during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 1st May, 1999, in a 1-0 win at home to Forfar Athletic in the SFL Second Division, having appeared as a Jag on 6 occasions.

Gregg's club-list included Ayr United, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Partick Thistle and Maryhill.

Bio Extra

A former Scotland Under 21 internationalist while at Ayr United, Gregg joined Thistle in the second half of season 98/99. Was badly affected by injury during his brief stay at Firhill and was given a free transfer at the season's conclusion. He ended up playing with Maryhill Juniors.
