![]() Graeme William Thomas Robertson was born on Monday, 4th June, 1962, in Dumfries. The 5' 7 (11st 0lbs) defender signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Wednesday, 1st August, 1990, having most recently been with Dunfermline Athletic. Aged 28, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 1st August, 1990, in a 1-1 friendly draw away to Gretna. Graeme scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 4th August, 1990, in a 6-0 friendly win away to Ness. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 2nd May, 1992, in a 0-0 draw at home to Forfar Athletic in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 88 occasions. Graeme's club-list included Lochar Amateurs, Queen of the South, Dunfermline Athletic, Partick Thistle, Ayr United and Albion Rovers. |
![]() Robertson was one of a number of signings made by John Lambie in the summer of 1990 and for the next two seasons he was a regular in the Thistle side mostly in the right back slot, although he did play a number of games in the Thistle midfield in the closing weeks of the 91/92 season. Never the most popular of players with the Thistle support, he was nevertheless a steady if not particularly outstanding performer and his contribution to the promotion winning squad shouldn't be under estimated. Left Thistle to join Ayr United. |
