Bio Extra

Gereee was one of the few relatively big money transfers completed by John Lambie. Gerry joined Thistle from Celtic one game into Thistle's Premier League surprise season in 92/93, and was a big success, fully justifying the fee paid to Celtic for him. His goal against Hearts at Tynecastle a few weeks into his Thistle career was the first of 13 he would score in his first season at Firhill. Those goals and the partnership that he formed with George Shaw went a long way in keeping Thistle in the top division. Who can forget his goal and celebration in the 3-0 drubbing of Rangers? It was with some anger that the Thistle fans greeted the news of his and Shaw's transfer to Dundee in January of the following season.
