George William Murray was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The forward signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Tuesday, 11th November, 1930, having most recently been with Dunipace.

He made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 3rd May, 1932, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Celtic in the Glasgow Charity Cup.

That night, George joined our scoring debutants club.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 11th March, 1933, in a 2-0 defeat away to Ayr United in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 4 occasions.

His club-list included Dunipace and Partick Thistle.
