George McQueen was born on Sunday, 29th December, 1895, in Dalserf, South Lanarkshire. The defender temporarily transferred to George Easton's Thistle on Friday, 16th August, 1918, from his parent club, Rangers. Aged 22, he made his only appearance on Saturday, 17th August, 1918, in a 1-1 draw away to Airdrieonians in the Scottish Football League. There were no goals for George in his one-off appearance for Thistle. His club-list included Shawsburn, Larkhall United, Parkhead, Rangers, St Mirren, Third Lanark, Kilmarnock, Partick Thistle and Airdrieonians. George died on Saturday, 3rd November, 1951, in Ashgill, South Lanarkshire, aged 55. |
