![]() George Hunter was born in Methil, Fife, although we've been unable to establish a date as of yet. * The 5' 6 (10st 9lbs) midfielder signed for George Easton's Thistle on Monday, 6th June, 1927, having most recently been with Denbeath Star. He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 20th August, 1927, in a 3-2 win away to Kilmarnock in the SFL First Division. George scored his first goal for Thistle on Wednesday, 30th April, 1930, in a 4-3 defeat at home to Cowdenbeath in the SFL First Division. He scored the last of his 3 goals on Saturday, 15th November, 1930, in a 2-1 win at home to St Mirren in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 14th March, 1931, in a 2-0 win away to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 39 occasions. His club-list included Denbeath Star, Partick Thistle and St Johnstone. We don't know where or when George died. *
