George McNicoll was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The 5' 5 forward signed for Thistle on Monday, 26th December, 1898, having most recently been with Falkirk.

He made his first known appearance on Tuesday, 3rd January, 1899, in an 8-2 defeat at home to Rangers in the Glasgow League.

Geordie scored his first known goal for Thistle on Thursday, 27th April, 1899, in a 3-2 friendly defeat at home to Derby County.

He scored the last of his 15 known goals on Saturday, 22nd December, 1900, in a 4-1 defeat at home to Queen's Park in the SFL First Division.

He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 5th January, 1901, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Morton in the SFL First Division, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 54 occasions.

His club-list included Rangers, Falkirk, Partick Thistle, Port Glasgow Athletic, Aberdeen and Raith Rovers.
