![]() Thistle tried a few local juniors in their end-of-season friendly at home to Dumbarton on 19th May 1894. The Scottish Referee opined: “Partick Thistle should keep their eye on Frank Robertson. On Saturday he played splendidly, his height being of great service.” A few weeks later, the same player got a run-out in the annual charity match at Inchview for the benefit of the Whiteinch Orphanage. Whatever his individual merits, 2 defeats with 8 goals conceded would have done his prospects no good. |
