![]() Edward Arcadiou Conway was born on Friday, 12th January, 1872, in Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire. The goalkeeper signed for Thistle on Friday, 20th September, 1895, having most recently been with Greenock Volunteers. Aged 23, he made his first known appearance on Saturday, 21st September, 1895, in a 5-1 win at home to Airdrieonians in the Scottish Qualifying Cup. Edward kept his first known clean-sheet on Saturday, 28th September, 1895, in a 15-0 win at home to Cameronians in the Glasgow Cup. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 5th October, 1895, in a 3-1 win away to Linthouse in the SFL Second Division, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 3 occasions. His club-list included Greenock Volunteers, Port Glasgow Victoria and Partick Thistle. Edward died in 1940, in Dublin, aged 68. *
