 Easton (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward first appeared for Thistle in April, 1912. He made his only known appearance on Monday, 29th April, 1912, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Rangers in a Benefit match. There were no goals for Easton in his one-off game for Thistle. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Easton died. *

 “Easton” (a psuedonym) played at centre forward in his only known game for Thistle, a Monday night match at Firhill against Rangers, for the the benefit of the recently widowed wives of former players Jacky Smith and David Hislop. He was one of four trialists who featured as a Jag. The Daily Record reported: “Partick's recruits in front, whose names were not divulged, all comported themselves in creditable fashion”. Rangers won by two goals to one and nothing came of it for Easton, but around 4,000 turned out and, at the end of all endeavours, £100 was raised for the two families. |
