Duncan James Laird was born on Sunday, 6th March, 2005, in Stirling.

The defender was introduced to Ian McCall's Thistle in the summer of 2022, whilst a Partick Thistle U-18 player.

Aged 17, he was listed as a substitute for the first time on Saturday, 16th July, 2022, in a 1-0 friendly defeat at home to Motherwell.

We look forward to seeing Duncan make his debut and score his first goal for the club.

His club-list includes only Partick Thistle - good man!

Bio Extra

Duncan is primarily a centre back, but is also comfortable slotting in at right back if required. The Falkirk-bred lad is hoping to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Zak Rudden & Billy Gilmour as an SFA performance school student (where football is practiced everyday within an educational environment) to make the professional breakthrough. The vision of the school is to "produce players with excellent technique who can pass with precision, control with comfort, run with purpose and play with joy." Played with the Thistle reserve team which competed in the Glasgow Cup of 2021-22 and the League Cup of 2022-23. Made the first team bench in a friendly against Motherwell in July, 2022.
