Dugald Douglas Robertson Mills was born on Thursday, 6th January, 1966, in Rutherglen, North Lanarkshire.

The defender signed for Benny Rooney's Thistle on Wednesday, 29th August, 1984, having most recently been with Drumchapel Amateurs.

Aged 18, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 8th September, 1984, in a 1-1 draw away to Meadowbank Thistle in the SFL First Division.

There were no goals for Dougie during his spell with Thistle.

He played his second and last game for the club on Saturday, 20th October, 1984, in a 1-0 defeat away to Clydebank in the SFL First Division.

Dougie's club-list included Drumchapel Amateurs, Partick Thistle, Albion Rovers, Queen of the South and Rutherglen Glencairn.

Bio Extra

One of several players to sign for Thistle from Drumchapel Amateurs in 1984. The tall ungainly centre-hall played most of the season in the reserves, making very occasional appearances for the first team. Left in 1985 for Albion Rovers before joining Queen of the South.
