![]() This North Ayrshire junior played at centre-half in his only trial game for Thistle, a 5-4 defeat at Barrowfield Park. Spence in the Thistle goal had a magnificent save in the 1st minute. Clyde scored 2 scrappy goals from scrambles. Lindsay pulled 1 back but it was 3-1 at h-t. Clyde made it 4-1 then Alan scored but Clyde made it 5-2. 2 late goals from McDiarmid and Lindsay put a better complexion on things, but defences were certainly not on top. Davies, a product of Skelmorlie, didn't quite prove the acquisition he was expected to be, according to the Scottish Referee, two days after his debut. |
