Archibald David Mackie Hayes was born on Wednesday, 10th June, 1953, in Glasgow.

The defender signed for Benny Rooney's Thistle circa Saturday, 6th April, 1985, having most recently been with Queen of the South.

Aged 31, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 6th April, 1985, in a 3-2 win at home to Ayr United in the SFL First Division.

There were no goals for David during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Monday, 13th May, 1985, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Rangers in the Glasgow Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 8 occasions.

David's club-list included Morton, Queen of the South, Partick Thistle and Blantyre Victoria.

Bio Extra

Ex-Morton player who was signed by Benny Rooney from Queen of the South in 1985. Played towards the end of the season at right-back, he was obviously unfit and was released at the end of the season.
