David Klein was born on Monday, 13th August, 1973, in Mulhouse, Grand Est.

The 6' 1 (13st 5lbs) goalkeeper signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Monday, 10th September, 2001, having most recently been with Clydebank.

Aged 28, he made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 11th September, 2001, in a 3-0 win away to Berwick Rangers in the League Cup.

In doing so, David joined the goalies' clean-sheet debutant's club.

He kept his second and last clean-sheet on Saturday, 15th September, 2001, in a 3-0 win at home to Clyde in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 13th October, 2001, in a 1-0 defeat away to St Mirren in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 7 occasions.

David's club-list included RC Strasbourg, Toulouse, Ajaccio, Metz, Clydebank, Partick Thistle, Martigues, Clermont, La Roche Vendée, Valenciennes and Chamois Niortais.
