David Haxton was born on Friday, 27th February, 1959, in Dennistoun, Glasgow.

The goalkeeper joined Billy Lamont's Thistle for a trial in November, 1987, having most recently been with Glasgow Perthshire.

Aged 28, he made his only appearance on Saturday, 7th November, 1987, in a 4-1 defeat at home to Clyde in the SFL First Division.

David's club-list included Glasgow Perthshire and Partick Thistle.

Man of mystery who played one game in goal while Brough and McLean were injured. Reputedly signed from Glasgow Perthshire to play in one match.
