Historian's note: The "C" comes from John Litster's player registration files. We continue to look for linking evidence, but a good candidate is David Cargill Walker, born 4th March 1873, in Cupar, Fife. Son of Thomas Russell Walker & Maria Walker (nee Cargill). At the April 1901 census he was living in Govan, so is in the right place at the right time to be a Jagsman. Died 18th April 1958, aged 85, registered in Kelvin district. There's an inscription to him at Cupar Cemetery, but he may not be interred there. Was still playing with Nithsdale Wanderers in 1911-12, so if our ID was true he'd be pushing 40 then. (WS/JK)
