David Alan Walters was born on Wednesday, 10th May, 1950, in Glasgow. The midfielder signed for Willie Thornton's Thistle circa Saturday, 18th November, 1967 (after a trial period), having most recently been with Sighthill Youth Club. Aged 17, he made his debut appearance on Tuesday, 22nd August, 1967, in a 5-0 defeat away to Celtic in the Glasgow Cup. Dave scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 2nd August, 1969, in a 2-0 friendly win away to Crusaders. That goal came in his eighth and final appearance for the club. Dave's known club-list included only Partick Thistle. |
