Bio Extra

McGlashan First come to the attention of the Thistle fans when he developed the annoying habit of scoring against Thistle in the colours of Clyde. When he made the move from Clyde to the much bigger stage of Firhill the Thistle fans considered it on excellent piece of business, if only to stop him scoring against Thistle. His worth to Partick Thistle proved to be much greater than that however. He struggled a little in front of goal in his first season at Firhill but it was his goals the following season that helped fire Thistle towards promotion. The arrival of Gerry Britton limited his opportunities in the Premier League with Thistle but he still managed to score a couple of vital goals during season 92/93. He left Thistle early in the next season to join Ayr United before moving to Montrose, and then Arbroath.
