Bio Extra

Joined originally from Motherwell in 1978. He was a hugely popular centre-half turned centre-forward who scored regularly in his season up front. Played over 100 games for the club, scoring more than 30 goals. Colin left for Rangers under freedom of contract and the £160,000 fee was the first transfer fee decided by an independent tribunal. Gained European experience and Scottish Cup honours with Rangers, before leaving to play with Adelaide Juventus in Australia. On his return he joined Hearts until rejoining Thistle in October 1986. The second spell saw him as a mere shadow of himself, his fitness lacking although the old determination was still there. On leaving Firhill he joined Irvine Meadow.
