Cole McKinnon was born on Wednesday, 29th January, 2003, in Glasgow.

The 5' 9 midfielder temporarily transferred to Ian McCall's Thistle on Wednesday, 13th July, 2022, from his parent club, Rangers.

Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Wednesday, 13th July, 2022, in a 1-1 draw away to Kilmarnock in the League Cup, with Thistle collecting a bonus point, 5-4 on pens.

Cole scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 30th July, 2022, in a 3-2 win away to Dundee in the SPFL Championship.

His club-list includes Rangers, East Fife and Partick Thistle.

He's contracted at Firhill until May, 2023.

Bio Extra

Having just turned 18, this Rangers Youth Academy midfielder joined League One side East Fife on loan in the springtime of 2021. He made nine league appearances for the Fifers, his first being a late substitute appearance in a 3–1 win away to Clyde on the 20th March 2021. He made excellent progress with David McCallum’s Rangers B in their inaugural Lowland League campaign of 2021-22, making massive contributions to their UEFA Youth League, SPFL Trust Trophy and Glasgow Cup successes. Was voted the players player of the year and represented Scotland at U19 level in the European Championship qualifiers. His memorable season was finished in some style when he made his senior debut for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side at Tynecastle in May, netting his first competitive goal for the first team. In June 2022, Cole was rewarded with a new three year deal at Rangers and a season-long loan deal at Firhill was arranged just a few weeks later.
