 Charles Simpson was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The goalkeeper joined Thistle in 1892. He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 17th September, 1892, in a 3-2 win away to Glasgow Wanderers in the Glasgow Cup. There were no known clean-sheets for Charles during his spell with Thistle. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 8th October, 1892, in an 8-3 defeat away to Cowlairs in the Scottish Alliance League, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 4 occasions. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Charles died. *
