Bio Extra

John Lambie signed this striker from Airdrie literally just hours before the start of the 89/90 season and he made an immediate impact scoring a debut goal just minutes into the opening day fixture at Clydebank. Campbell was in excellent form that season, particularly in the first few months, and would finish the season as top scorer with 19 goals, 13 of which were scored before the tum of the year. The following season wasn't so successful with only 5 goals to his name, 3 of which come against Kilmarnock, the club he would leave Thistle to join a few months later.
