Brian Martin was born on Sunday, 24th February, 1963, in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.

The 6' 0 (13st 0lbs) defender signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Friday, 12th November, 1999, having most recently been with Stirling Albion.

Aged 36, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 27th November, 1999, in a 1-0 win at home to Stirling Albion in the SFL Second Division.

There were no goals for Brian during his time with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 6th May, 2000, in a 3-2 defeat away to Arbroath in the SFL Second Division, having appeared as a Jag on 19 occasions.

Brian's club-list included Albion Rovers, Stenhousemuir, Shotts Bon Accord, Falkirk, Hamilton Academical, St Mirren, Motherwell, Stirling Albion, Partick Thistle, Lanark United, Wishaw, Larkhall Thistle, Stonehouse Violet and Cambuslang Rangers.

Arrived at Firhill from Stirling Albion near the end of 1999. Previously with St Mirren and Motherwell, where he gained international honours.
