 Brian Gallagher was born on Tuesday, 18th December, 1945, in Scotland, although we don't know his place of birth. * The 5' 8 (9st 4lbs) forward signed for Willie Thornton's Thistle on Monday, 10th August, 1964, having most recently been with Drumchapel Amateurs. Aged 18, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 24th October, 1964, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Motherwell in the SFL First Division. That day, Brian became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 12 goals on Wednesday, 28th February, 1968, in a 3-0 win at home to Raith Rovers in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 31st August, 1968, in a 6-1 defeat at home to Celtic in the League Cup, having appeared as a Jag on 60 occasions. Brian's club-list included Drumchapel Amateurs, Partick Thistle, Morton, Dumbarton, Beith Juniors, Vale of Leven and Duntocher Hibernian.
