Brian Gallacher was born on Monday, 8th September, 1958, in Glasgow. The 5' 9 (11st 1lbs) midfielder signed for John Lambie's Thistle in November, 1988, having most recently been with St Mirren. Aged 30, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 26th November, 1988, in a 2-0 defeat at home to Airdrieonians in the SFL First Division. Brian scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 6th May, 1989, in a 4-1 win at home to Forfar Athletic in the SFL First Division. He scored the last of his 5 goals on Saturday, 13th October, 1990, in a 4-2 win away to Clyde in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 16th February, 1991, in a 1-0 defeat away to Kilmarnock in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 48 occasions. Brian's club-list included Radnor Park, Dumbarton, Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Portadown, Cork City, Albion Rovers and Caledonian. |

Was expected to provide Thistle with some much needed fire power, but illness severely affected his time at Firhill despite remaining at the club long after Abercrombie had departed. Subsequently, was quite often seen watching Thistle from the Jackie Husband Stand. |
