Brendan McIntyre was born on Sunday, 28th November, 1965, in Glasgow.

The 5' 11½ (12st 6lbs) defender signed for Benny Rooney's Thistle in August, 1985, having most recently been with Heart of Midlothian.

Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 3rd August, 1985, in a 2-0 friendly defeat away to St Johnstone.

There were no goals for Brendan during his time with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Tuesday, 16th September, 1986, in a 2-0 defeat away to Dunfermline Athletic in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 18 occasions.

Brendan's club-list included Heart of Midlothian, Partick Thistle, Queen of the South, Stranraer, Falkirk, Waterside Karori, Wellington Olympic and Western Suburbs.

Bio Extra

Brendan was signed from Hearts after spending time at Norwich. Playing only occasionally either at left-back, centre half or in midfield, he was unable to get a regular game, and left to join Queen of the South in 1986. Went on to play with Stranraer and Falkirk.
