 Bowie (forename unknown) was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward probably joined Thistle in 1877. He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 9th February, 1878, in a 3-0 friendly win at home to Camphill. That day, Bowie became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 3 known goals on Saturday, 30th November, 1878, in a 2-0 friendly win at home to Roseberry. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 5th April, 1879, in a 1-0 neutral-venue win against Marchton in the West Of Scotland Cup, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 3 occasions. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when Bowie died. *
