Robert Gerald McGrory was born on Sunday, 17th October, 1891, in Bishopton, Renfrewshire.

The defender appeared as a guest for George Easton's Thistle in January, 1918, having most recently been with Dumbarton.

Aged 27, he made his only appearance on Wednesday, 2nd January, 1918, in a 1-0 defeat away to Rangers in the Scottish Football League.

There were no goals for Bob in his one-off appearance for Thistle.

His club-list included Dumbarton, Partick Thistle, Burnley and Stoke.

Bob died on Monday, 24th May, 1954, in Glasgow, aged 62.
