William Thomas Fraser Mullen was born on Tuesday, 18th January, 1966, in Glasgow.

The 5' 7 (10st 1lbs) forward signed for Benny Rooney's Thistle circa Saturday, 9th June, 1984, having most recently been with Drumchapel Amateurs.

Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 9th February, 1985, in a 1-0 defeat away to Clyde in the SFL First Division.

Billy scored his only goal for Thistle on Wednesday, 8th May, 1985, in a 1-1 win (on pens) at home to Clyde in the Glasgow Cup.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 28th February, 1987, in a 1-0 defeat away to Dumbarton in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 9 occasions.

Billy's club-list included Drumchapel Amateurs, Partick Thistle and Stranraer.

Livewire little striker who always tended to impress in the reserves but found it difficult to got a run in the first team. Scored once, against Clyde in the Glasgow Cup.
