William Beck Ramsay was born on Monday, 22nd June, 1942, in Edinburgh.

The goalkeeper signed for Willie Thornton's Thistle on Thursday, 15th February, 1962, having most recently been with Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic.

Aged 20, he made his only appearance on Monday, 4th February, 1963, in a 3-2 win at home to Morton in the Scottish Cup.

Bill's club-list included Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic, Hibernian, Partick Thistle, Haddington Athletic and Tranent Juniors.
