Barry Martin Smith was born on Tuesday, 19th February, 1974, in Paisley, Renfrewshire. The 5' 10 (12st 9lbs) forward temporarily transferred to Dick Campbell's Thistle on Friday, 5th January, 2007, from his parent club, Valur Reykjavík. Aged 32, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 6th January, 2007, in a 1-0 win away to Ross County in the Scottish Cup. Barry scored his only goal for Thistle on Saturday, 21st April, 2007, in a 1-1 draw away to Airdrie United in the SFL First Division. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 28th April, 2007, in a 0-0 draw at home to Livingston in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 16 occasions. Barry's club-list included Celtic, Dundee, Valur Reykjavík, Partick Thistle, Greenock Morton and Brechin City. |
