Brian Stephen McGee was born on Wednesday, 22nd February, 1967, in Glasgow. The 5' 9 (9st 7lbs) defender signed for John Lambie's Thistle in February, 1989, having most recently been with Celtic. Aged 22, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 25th February, 1989, in a 4-2 win away to Queen of the South in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for Barney during his spell with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 13th May, 1989, in a 1-1 draw away to Raith Rovers in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 5 occasions. Barney's club-list included Renfrew, Celtic, Partick Thistle and Dalry Thistle. |
