Baily James Cargill was born on Wednesday, 5th July, 1995, in Winchester, Hampshire.

The 6' 2½ (13st 10lbs) defender temporarily transferred to Alan Archibald's Thistle on Tuesday, 23rd January, 2018, from his parent club, Bournemouth.

Aged 22, he made his debut appearance that same day in a 2-1 defeat at home to Celtic in the SPFL Premiership.

There were no goals for Baily during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last game for the club on Sunday, 20th May, 2018, in a 1-0 defeat at home to Livingston in the SPFL Premiership play-off Final, having appeared as a Jag on 19 occasions.

At June, 2021, Baily's club-list included Bournemouth, Totton, Welling United, Torquay United, Coventry City, Gillingham, Fleetwood Town, Partick Thistle, Milton Keynes Dons and Forest Green Rovers.
