![]() Archibald Nimmo was born on Monday, 12th August, 1940, in Drumlemble, Argyll and Bute. The forward signed for David Meiklejohn's Thistle on Monday, 3rd August, 1959, having most recently been with Drumlemble. Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 2nd January, 1960, in a 2-1 win away to Third Lanark in the SFL First Division. That day, Archie became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He scored the last of his 5 goals on Monday, 22nd August, 1960, in a 5-1 win at home to Queen's Park in the Glasgow Cup. That turned out to be his last game for the club, having appeared as a Jag on 7 occasions. His club-list included Drumlemble, Partick Thistle and St Mirren. |
