The 17-year-old left back joined Thistle initially in September 2016 having left the Rangers youth set-up and went on to become a regular during the 18/19 Reserve League season. Andy was one of three modern apprentices to join Partick Thistle on a full-time basis during the summer of 2019. Soon afterwards, he was out on loan at Benburb, but an injury cut that spell short, and he returned to Maryhill. In January 2020, after recovering from his injury, he headed out on loan to Annan Athletic of League Two. Andy left Firhill in July 2021, signing with East Stirlingshire of the Lowland League. He was back in the SPFL a year later, penning a one-year deal with Clyde of League 1.
