Bio Extra

Frame Joined Thistle in the 98/99 season after a free transfer from Hibs. A number of impressive displays for the reserves earned him a call up into the first team where he performed sufficiently well to earn himself a contract for another year but he failed to make much of an impact and was freed at the end of the season. Post-Thistle became familiar with the juniors game and won a number of trophies and medals. Pollok and Johnstone Burgh were two of his known clubs, although there were others. Together with his assistant John Paul McBride, he got into management with Whitefield Amateurs. Spent 2 and a half seasons as manager of Thorniewood United and, despite being relegated in 2015, led them to their first cup triumph in 50 years through a penalty shoot-out defeat of Blantyre Vics to lift the Central League Cup, and that despite the fact they had to play out the closing 30 minutes with only nine men! Frame and his background team of ex-Jags John Paul McBride and Billy McDonald, all made the switch to Cumbernauld United in February 2017.
