![]() Andrew James Bruce was born on Sunday, 9th August, 1964, in Edinburgh. The goalkeeper temporarily transferred to Peter Cormack's Thistle on Saturday, 24th March, 1984, from his parent club, Rangers. Aged 19, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 24th March, 1984, in a 0-0 draw at home to Dumbarton in the SFL First Division. In doing so, Andy joined the goalies' clean-sheet debutant's club. It was his only clean-sheet during his spell with Thistle. He played his second and last game for the club on Saturday, 31st March, 1984, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division. Andy's club-list included Linlithgow Rose, Rangers, Partick Thistle, Heart of Midlothian and Morton. |
![]() Replaced Arthur as on-loan keeper during an injury to Brough. Came from Rangers on loan and returned to Ibrox just two games later as Brough regained fitness. Later in his career he joined Hearts. |
